Garmin Mountain Festival / Garmin Epic Trail Vall de Boi

Three days of activities in the mountains with sports, live music and fun for the whole family

ORIGINAL BUFF® presents the MOUNTAIN FESTIVAL Vall de Boí, a unique event in the peninsula so that everyone, big or small, alone or accompanied, who wants can participate in a range of recreational and sports activities in contact with nature.

The MOUNTAIN FESTIVAL Vall de Boí will take place o in the town of Barruera, in the Parc Nacional d’Aigüestortes i Estany de Sant Maurici, an ideal setting for experts and non-experts to discover and experience the mountains and will include the fourth edition of the epic BUFF® Epic Trail Aigüestortes race.

Yoga, climbing … and Kids Nature Campus 

The activities that make up the festival are designed so that children and adults and experts and amateurs can spend a sporty and cultural weekend full of entertainment. 

Attendees will be able to choose from practicing yoga surrounded by nature to starting a via ferrata, participating in a traditional event like carrying “falles” from the mountain in Erill la Vall (recognized as World Heritage by UNESCO) and listening to live music. 

Children are the main protagonists of this festival, and a range of activities has been designed for them with the aim of educating them about respecting and caring for the environment, having fun practicing sports, and, above all, having fun on weekend.

To do this, from participating in a family bike ride to starting trail running with the Mini Sky Race, the little ones have their own space at this event, like the workshops at the Kids Nature Campus, a space created for the children’s enjoyment and learning. 

As part of this mountain festival, you will be able to enjoy other activities such as: different trekking trails in Barruera and its surroundings with Vall de Boí Trek, canyoning, rafting and orienteering. 

The festival will include different events and activities that will be split into those geared towards a general public seeking to get to know and discover the mountain and another part with top-level sports competitions.

Epic Trail Aigüestortes 

The Mountain Festival Vall de Boí is born thanks to the brand’s previous experience organizing major sporting events such as the  EPIC TRAIL. This race, in just three editions, has made it to the epic category because of its level of technical demand and the spectacular nature of its atmosphere. 

The  EPIC TRAIL AIGÜESTORTES is once again a highlight on the trail running calendar in which the SKYMARATHON® (42 km) is included in the Skyrunner World Series and the ULTRA SKYMARATHON® 105 km will hold the Skyrunner National Championship. In addition to these two events, the race has its own version of a half marathon (21 km). 

In its last edition, over 1,670 athletes of 38 different nationalities attended. 

MTB Marathon 

The first edition of the MTB MARATHON Championship of Catalonia is included among the competition activities of the festival, with two races (56k and 30k) and an event open to everyone who wants to explore the wilderness of the National Park.
