The Malaysia Ultra-Trail by UTMB® is a running adventure in the world’s oldest rainforest. Experience the Malaysian wilderness on spectacular trails through the Virgin Jungle Reserves – one of the oldest rainforest regions on Earth. Between dense tropical vegetation, historic sites, and challenging paths, an unforgettable trail experience awaits.
The MY100 is the flagship stage. This demanding course runs through untouched jungle around Maxwell Hill – Malaysia’s oldest hill station. Highlights include technical trails, historic railway tunnels near Taiping, and the captivating atmosphere of the tropical rainforest.

21. Manila Marathon – Philippines

Between skyscrapers, traffic chaos, and bustling markets, you push forward, but once you leave the city behind, a Caribbean-like vibe appears along the promenade – relaxed. Street food explosion after the finish is guaranteed!
The event also includes a half marathon, 10 km, and 5 km. The marathon time limit is very generous at eight hours. The start gun goes off at midnight.

22. Mongolia Sunrise to Sunset – Mongolia

Choose between 42 km or 100 km through Hovsgol National Park – with magical forests, windy plains, steep passes, and stunning trails along Lake Hovsgol. Particularly charming: course marshals on horseback, yak spectators, and aid stations staffed by real nomads.
But the run is only half the experience: before and after the race, enjoy a week of pure nature. You’ll sleep in traditional yurts, ride through the wilderness, and experience Mongolian culture up close – no Wi-Fi, but wild horses.

23. Nagoya Women’s Marathon – Japan

Women only – the atmosphere in Nagoya is legendary. Fast, friendly, perfect conditions – with cheer zones, cosplayers along the course, and every meter filled with warmth.
It is now the largest women’s marathon in the world, with around 20,000 participants (including the half marathon).

24. Penang Bridge Marathon – Malaysia
Across the longest bridge in the region – beware of the height metaphor! Sea views, tricky crosswind sections, and a party atmosphere await at this classic race.
Optional distances at the Penang Bridge International Marathon also include the half marathon and 10 km runs.

25. Petra Desert Marathon – Jordan

Running through the treasure city of Petra in daylight? Or under the blazing desert sun? Dream scenery meets endurance intensity here – and your inner Indiana Jones will cheer.
About 500 runners each year take on the challenge of the Petra Desert Marathon, running either the full 42.195 km or a half marathon through the desert.

26. Salomon Cappadocia Ultra-Trail – Turkey

Fairy chimneys, lunar landscapes, and unique trails await you. Technically challenging, heavenly scenic – a trail event that enchants with every step.
The longest race is almost 120 km. But even less experienced trail runners can find suitable distances at the Cappadocia Ultra-Trail.

27. Seoul Marathon – South Korea
Seoul Marathon – sightseeing at 180 bpm: The start is in the heart of Seoul at Gwanghwamun Square – with views of Gyeongbokgung Palace and the honor guard of King Sejong and Admiral Yi. History as your warm-up! The course mixes old and new: from Dongdaemun Design Plaza through the lively Dongmyo flea market to the sparkling COEX Mall and the gigantic Lotte World Tower. If you still have energy, you can run along the Han River – Seoul in panoramic view included.
The grand finale? A finish at the legendary Jamsil Olympic Stadium – goosebumps guaranteed, even without a gold medal.
